连词“不但(不仅、不只、不光)”常和连词“而且(并且)”前后配合,组成一对关联词语。关于这对关联词语的语法功能,一般语法论著都说,用来连接递进关系的复句,表示后一分句比前一分句有更进一层的意思。(例句从略)《现代汉语八百词》说,这对关联词语“也可以连接并列的名词性成分或介词短语”。这里补充两个例子。①对毛泽东同志、毛泽东思想的评价问题,党内党外和国内国外都很关心,不但全党同志,而且各方面的朋友都在注意我们怎么说。(《邓小平文选》)②他不仅对他的班,而且对全军都负有重大责任。(路翎《洼地上的“战役”》)例①连接两个名词短语“全党同志”和“各方面的朋
