台湾乡愁文学产生于20世纪50年代,1949年台湾与大陆隔绝开以后,两岸同胞骨肉分离,亲情爱情友情被无情地隔断,乡愁成了广大台湾同胞心里难以抚平的创伤。由此涌现出一大批以抒写乡愁情怀为代表的作家,乡愁文学在很长一段时期内盛行于台湾文坛,成为当时特定历史环境下具有普遍性和广泛性的一种文学题材。余光中的名作《听听那冷雨》可以说是台湾乡愁文学的代表作品,其中对雨、对乡愁的细腻描绘更是为人传唱。
Taiwan’s nostalgia literature emerged in the 1950s. After Taiwan and the mainland were isolated in 1949, the flesh and blood of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait separated their love and affection from being mercilessly cut off. The nostalgia became the trauma that the compatriots in Taiwan would find it hard to heal. As a result, a large number of writers who expressed their feelings of nostalgia were emerging. Nostalgia literature prevailed in the literary world in Taiwan for a long time and became a kind of literary subject that was universal and extensive under certain historical circumstances. Yu Guangzhong’s masterpiece “Listen to That Cold Rain” can be said to be Taiwan’s nostalgic literature representative works, of which, the delicate depiction of nostalgia is even more sung.
