近年来为了节约能源和改善大气污染,引起人们对燃油掺水工作的再次重视。目前美、英、日本等国均作为重点项目进行研究,并列入国家计划。据说已有商品乳化油料的生产,例如乳化汽油和燃料等。又如最近朝鲜报导:介绍日本早稻田大学教授试验成功了在汽油中掺水30%并加入少量添加剂,不仅能节约石油,还能提高发动机功率10%。因此,从当前来说燃油乳化工作已成为国际性的研究课题。
