大庆石化公司地处我国东北松嫩平原,自身的水资源十分匮乏,公司每年近亿吨的用水绝大部分都要依靠外供。用水量的多少,直接影响着企业的经济效益。2001年,大庆石化公司结合企业挖潜增效,开展了大规模的节水和水资源综合利用工作,取得了显著的经济效益——2001年,公司全年的新鲜水用量比上一年减少了326万吨,污水排放量比上一年减少了320多万吨,脱盐水和蒸汽等用量也都比上一年有较大幅度的下降。全年节水、节汽所产生的经济效益共达3970万元。
