2015年是我国著名艺术家、中国现代美术事业的奠基者和开拓者、中央美术学院第一任院长徐悲鸿先生诞辰120周年,为缅怀这位艺术巨匠,纪念他为中国美术事业作出的杰出贡献,6月26日,由文化部、中国文联主办,中央美术学院、中国美术家协会、徐悲鸿纪念馆承办的“纪念徐悲鸿诞辰120周年座谈会”在人民大会堂北京厅隆重举行。中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理刘延东同志对这次座谈会的召开非常重视并专门发来了贺信。刘延东在贺信中说,徐悲鸿先生是20世纪中国美术的先驱,
2015 is the birthplace of the famous artist in China and the founder and pioneer of China’s modern fine arts. Mr. Xu Beihong, the first dean of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, celebrated the 120th anniversary of the birth of the artist. In memory of his outstanding contribution to the cause of art in China, On June 26, “Symposium on Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Xu Beihong’s Birthday”, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and China Federation of Literature and Art, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Chinese Artists Association and Xu Beihong Memorial Hall was held ceremoniously in Beijing Hall of the Great Hall of the People. Comrade Liu Yandong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attached great importance to the convening of this symposium and sent a special letter of congratulation. Liu Yandong said in his letter that Mr. Xu Beihong was a pioneer of Chinese art in the 20th century.
