Before the ball-point pens appear, all pens have the following problems: (1) the ink cannot outflow very evenly; (2) the ink dry slowly. Before the Second World War, people haven't invented the ball-point pen. But in the war, when the users were flying in the high sky, the ink of the pen was easy to overflow, this was a serious problem. Therefore, the world people are looking forward to a better solution. And the emergence of ball-point pen just met the requirements of the people.
The key point of the ball-point pen’s design is its ball, which is located in the ball socket between the ink pipes and paper. Although the ball is closely embedded in the ball socket, but as writing, it still has enough space for rolling. When the ball pen slips on the paper, the ball keeps rolling. Gravity makes the ink from the ink storage flow down to the ball, and then the ball transfer ink onto the paper. Because of such a scroll mechanism, the ink is able to flow to the top of the ball, and moved to the paper with the rotation of the ball.
