宾夕法尼亚州大学教授劳伦斯·克莱因(Laurence Klein)以其在计量经济学和经济模型方面的成就,获得1981年诺贝尔经济奖。计量经济学(Econometrics)是近年来迅速发展的一个经济学分支,对中国的经济计划和建设有实际意义。1980年夏,应中国社会科学院邀请,克莱因和安德森(T. W. Anderson)、安度(A. Ando)、邹至庄(Gregory Chow)、刘遵义(Laurence Liu)、粟庆雄(Vincent Su)、萧政等曾赴中国举办计量经济讲习班。粟庆雄现任教于纽约市立大学,曾随克莱因工作多年,本刊特请他访问克莱因,帮助读者了解计量经济学。现将访问记发表,供中国读者参考。
Laurence Klein, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, won the 1981 Nobel Prize for Economics for her achievements in econometrics and economic modeling. Econometrics is a rapidly developing branch of economics in recent years and has practical significance for China's economic planning and construction. In the summer of 1980, at the invitation of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, TW Anderson, A. Ando, Gregory Chow, Laurence Liu, Vincent Su, Politics and other went to China to hold a measurement economy workshop.
