首先,为了更好地阐述公共社会学的意义和重要性,这篇文章以我对其概念和渊源的描述开始。接着,我将分别从具体层面和整体层面简述构成社会学领域及其学科分工的四种类型。这四种类型是这门学科繁荣发展的必要组成部分。然后,从一般问题转向特殊问题,我想指出不同国家的学者对公共社会学——这一社会学的分支学科的不同理解,以及他们各自理解之间的分歧。尽管目前存在不同的看法,社会学家们的确还是有一个很有特色的共同话题——公民社会的保卫和扩展,这也将引出我最终的观点。由于公民社会是社会学家们赖以生存的基础,所以他们对市场原教旨主义及其引发的经济危机的回应就显得至关重要。公共社会学家们生活在当今这样一个重要的时代,现在他们可以从学术象牙塔中走出来,走进公共空间,塑造社会愿景。
First, in order to better explain the significance and importance of public sociology, this article begins with my description of its concepts and origins. Next, I will briefly outline the four types that make up the division of labor in the field of sociology and its disciplines, both individually and in entirety. These four types are an integral part of the prosperity of this discipline. Then, from the general problem to the special problem, I would like to point out the different understandings of public sociology, the different branches of sociology of science, and their differences of understanding among scholars of different countries. Despite the current differences, sociologists do still have a very distinctive topic of common interest - the defense and expansion of civil society, which will also lead to my final point of view. Since civil society is the foundation upon which sociologists rely for their survival, their response to market fundamentalism and the economic crisis it causes is of crucial importance. Public sociologists live in such an important time today that they can now step out of the academic ivory tower and into the public space to shape their social visions.
