1933年,丁玲在上海遭到国民党特务绑架,随即被押往南京囚居。直到1936年,丁玲才逃离南京,来到陕北。丁玲到达保安后,毛泽东、周恩来、张闻天、林伯渠、凯丰等多位领导都参加了为她举行的欢迎晚会。会后不久,毛泽东问丁玲有什么打算,丁玲回答:“当红军。”随后,她就到前方总政治部工作。西安事变后,丁玲又随一方面军南下。毛泽东在发给陇东前线指挥作战的一军团政委聂荣臻的电报中,附上了这首《临江仙》转赠给丁玲。
In 1933, Ding Ling was kidnapped by KMT agents in Shanghai and was immediately detained in Nanjing. Until 1936, Ding Ling just flee Nanjing, came to northern Shaanxi. After Ding Ling arrived at the security guards, many leaders, including Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhang Wentian, Lin Boqu, and Kai Feng attended the welcome party for her. Shortly after the meeting, Mao Zedong asked Ding Ling what the plan was, Ding Ling replied: “The Red Army.” Then she went to work in front of the General Political Department. After the Xi’an Incident, Ding Ling went south with one side. Mao Zedong sent a telegram to Nie Rongzhen, a political commissar of the Corps commanding and conducting operations in the east of Longdong, and attached this song “Linjiang Xian” to Ding Ling.
