张仲景,名机,仲景乃其字,是我国汉代医学家。他所著的《伤寒杂病论》,为我国的中医药事业奠定了理论和临床基础,一千七百余年来,一直为中外学习中医者奉为必读经典,对我国医学发展和中外医药交流,作出了伟大贡献,后人尊称为“医圣”、“先师”。南阳人民为了纪念先哲,鼓励后贤,继承和发扬祖国医学遗产,在古宛城东郭张仲景的墓地修建了医圣祠(图一)。由于张仲景淡于利禄,反对权豪,厌恶

His Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases laid a theoretical and clinical basis for the cause of Chinese medicine in our country.
