Harris Corporation announced on February 6 it plans to buy Exxon for 4.75 billion U.S. dollars. If approved by the United States antitrust authorities, the transaction is expected to be completed in June. The merger will form a $ 8 billion annual defense technology company. The new company, by revenue, will be the eighth largest U.S. Department of Defense contractor. The company will have about 23,000 employees, including about 9,000 engineers and scientists.
