目前全国高校正在培养跨世纪人才,21世纪的科学技术和体育科学的高速发展,全民体育教育成为当代大学生主要掌握、运用和创造的科学文化内容之一。因此,高校体育教育将以全新的面目出现在学生面前,学生将体育科学作为一门主要科学知识去学习、掌握和运用于未来之中。高校的体育教学任务是使学生能积极主动地学习体育科学知识,熟练地掌握体育运动技术和技能,培养体育运动能力和习惯、勇敢顽强进取的精神,具有一定的运动能力并能自行终身科学锻炼身体的方法和习惯,从而成为具有健康体魄和实现全民体育教育的模范和带头人。
