毛主席说:“一个粮食,一个钢铁,有了这两个东西就什么都有了”。为了更好的贯彻毛主席的这一指示,从技术上支援全国人民快马加鞭生产钢铁和掀起以深耕为中心的冬季生产高潮,作好土壤改良、水利建设和肥料工作,为明年农业更大的跃进而奋斗。中华全国科学技术普及协会主编的“科学普及资料汇编”特出版“钢铁、粮食两大元帅”专号,交流这两方面的先进经验。该专号的主要内容有下列几个方面:
