△省城档案界于一九八三年十二月二十六日举行座谈会,纪念毛泽东同志诞辰九十周年。同志们在座谈中说,毛泽东同志不仅是伟大的无产阶级革命家、战略家和理论家,而且在他的伟大革命实践中,非常重视档案材料工作。毛泽东同志关于档案材料工作的的理论和他重视档案材料工作的实践精神,是我国档案事业的宝贵财富,是进行档案工作改革,开创档案工作新局面的重要思想武器。不少同志指出,我们应该认真研究毛泽东同志关于档案材料工作的理论,并在这个基础上,很好地总结我国档案工作的丰富实践经验,逐步形成具有中国特色的社会主义档案科学。同志们在发言中强调指出,当前档案战线面临着不断开创新局面的任务,要完成这个创新的艰巨任务,必须要有毛泽东思想的指导,因此认真学习毛泽东思想,认真学习毛泽东同志关于档案材料工作的理论,这是摆在广大档案工作者面前的一项重要任务。只有认真学习毛泽东思想,把毛泽东同志的科学理论同我国档案工作的实践结合起来,在新的实践中运用和发展这些科学理论,以此推动我国档案事业的

During the discussion, comrades said: Comrade Mao Tse-tung is not only a great proletarian revolutionary, strategist and theorist, but also attaches great importance to the work of archival materials in his great revolutionary practice. Comrade Mao Zedong’s theory of archival material work and his emphasis on the practice of archival material work are precious assets of archival work in our country and an important ideological weapon for carrying out archives reform and opening up a new situation in archives work. Many comrades pointed out: We should conscientiously study Comrade Mao Tse-tung’s theory on the work of archival materials. On this basis, we should make a good summary of the rich practical experience in our archival work and gradually form the scientific archival science of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In their speeches, the comrades emphasized that the current archives front is confronted with the task of constantly opening up a new situation. To accomplish this arduous task of innovation, we must have the guidance of Mao Zedong Thought so earnestly study Mao Zedong Thought and seriously study Comrade Mao Zedong’s work on archival materials Theory, which is placed in front of an archivist an important task.
