1927年3月1日、3月16日顾颉刚接傅斯年信邀其往广州任中山大学史学系教授,顾颉刚表示同意,不久抵广州。顾颉刚能应傅斯年之招,一来是熟人之谊,二来此时留居北京,手中缺钱,不好过活。顾甫到广州,朱家骅怕其与鲁迅再生事端,命其到江浙买书,充实中大图书馆。顾知此非久远之计,写信傅斯年,提出三条办法:一是用一二年时间为中大购书,半年回广东整理一次,以为研究开新路;二是派其到
