The aim of this study was to assess the possibility of monitoring upper motor neuron disease (UMND) with F-wave at random contraction. The subjects were 32 healthy adults, 54 UMND and 20 patients with lower motor nerve disease (LMND). UMND contained 38 cases of cervical spinal cord disease, 2 cases of spinal cord injury, 8 cases of cerebral infarction, 6 cases of spinal cord - brain degeneration, all patients have spasms of fingers; LMND with 16 cases of cubital tunnel syndrome, 3 cases of diabetic neuropathy and 1 case Green-Barre syndrome.
