在日本近世衆多熱衷儒教的大名中,水户藩的德川光與岡山藩的池田光政要數其中最重要的兩位,他們不僅尊崇儒教教義,也積極推動儒教禮儀的施行。儒教在水户藩的德川光時期以及後來江户末期的德川齊昭時期尤其大放光彩,從光時期直至幕末,水户藩的儒者一直都在思考與探索著如何得體地施行喪祭禮。這其中,朱熹的《家禮》發揮了關鍵性作用。本文對喪祭禮相關文獻資料進行了廣泛審察與詳細分析,由此呈現了水户藩儒教禮儀實踐的歷史展開過程。同時指出,有些學者認爲水户藩的喪葬禮是神道式的,這其實是一種誤讀。文本在史料分析的基礎上澄清了水户藩的喪葬禮儀乃以儒教爲本。
Among Japan’s most avid Confucianist names, the Tokugawa Mizuho of Mito and the Iwakuni Ikeda of Okayama are the most important two. They not only honor the teachings of Confucianism but also actively promote the application of Confucian liturgy. Confucianism was particularly splendid in the Tokugawa period in Mito clan and later Tokugawa in the late Edo period. From the Kumari period until the end of the curtain, the Confucians of Mito clan constantly thought and explored how to practice gracefully Funeral ceremony. At the same time, he pointed out that some scholars think that the funeral ceremony of Mito clan is Shinto style, which is actually a kind of misunderstanding. Based on the historical analysis, the text clarifies that funeral ritual in Mito clan is based on Confucianism.
