This article describes the pitfalls that can be encountered when using seismic acoustic impedance to invert synthetic earthquakes and logging information. The illustrations in this article are taken from the famous Stratton 3D seismic and logging data body and are endorsed by the Austin Economic Geological Bureau of Texas.
