卢龙县有64万亩耕地,均属褐土类土壤。由于地形地貌及成土母质复杂多样,致使土地类型较多。各类型耕地的肥力状况和生产能力相差悬殊。按目前粮食生产水平划分,亩产550公斤以上的高产田有15万亩;亩产350——550公斤的中产田有28.3万亩;亩产350公斤以下的低产田有20.7万亩,低产田多是岗坡薄地、土体有严重障碍层次和通透性极差的土地。
