我们湖北是有名的千湖之省,鱼米之乡,在全国淡水渔业中占有很重要的地位.建国以来,我省水产工作是有成绩的.鱼苗人工繁殖已基本普及,养殖产量逐年上升,城郊养鱼发展较快,试验网箱养鱼已取得了经验,水产战线的职工、渔民作了很大的努力.这些年来,林彪、“四人帮”干扰破坏给水产事业造成极大的危害,积累的问题不少.全省水产品总产量至今没有恢复到一九五七年的水平,收购量只及最高年的一半,市场鲜鱼供应很紧张,武汉市每人每月吃半斤鱼还保证不了.群众批评我们:鱼米乡,没鱼吃.这种情况,必须改变.
