In this experiment, an experimental model of pulmonary edema in rats that was replicated by intravenous injection of epinephrine was used to observe the effects of allopurinol on pulmonary edema. Rats were randomly divided into normal saline group, epinephrine group and allopurinol + epinephrine group. The results showed that epinephrine could increase the permeability of pulmonary vascular wall and alveolar wall, pulmonary interstitial, alveolar, bronchial edema, hemorrhage and hyaline membrane formation; allopurinol could prevent adrenergic-induced lung injury (P<0.05). ), to extend the survival time of animals (P<0.01). Adrenaline-induced pulmonary edema is associated with free radicals.
