Sluggish export performance will continuein the coming months,a Beijing—basedforeign trade analyst predicted.“Together with booming imports,theweak exports are likely to bring China toa roughly balanced foreign trade or even atrade deficit at the end of this year,”saidnoted trade expert Qiu Xichun.Customs reports indicate that in Januarythis year,Chinese exports slid by 0.1 percent from a year ago;in February,thefall was 2.6 per cent.
