去年5月参观日本爱知县的世界博览会,满眼都是美景美色,很舒服,到了那里就不想走了。自1851年首届世博会在英国伦敦举行以来,每隔三五年,世界各国就在世博会这个T型台上,展示自己国家的实力、水平和文化。有人说世博会是和世界最前沿的科技水平和生活时尚联系在一起的。这话没错。如1876年美国费城世博会展示了电话、电报；1939年美国纽约世博会展示了尼龙和塑料。我是搞文学的,因此我特别怀恋1878年巴黎世博会,那一年大文豪维克多·雨果在世博会上主持了“艺术与文学遗产会议”。而在1937年巴黎世博会上,展示了毕加索的名画《格尔尼卡》。文学艺术的发展是和时代同步的,这个道理在一百多次世博会上得到了强调。可惜的是,长这么大,我只参加过一次世博会。但这次世博会上,人的智慧、能力,绚丽的灯光和美不胜收的自然风光,让我全身心置于仙境一般——和自然的和谐相处,会让人类受益无穷。
In May last year, I visited the World Exposition in Aichi prefecture, Japan. It was full of beautiful scenery and was very comfortable. I didn’t want to leave when I arrived there. Since the first World Expo in 1851 was held in London, the United Kingdom, every three to five years, all countries in the world on the T stage of the Expo, to show their country’s strength, level and culture. Some people say that the Expo is linked to the world’s most cutting-edge technology and lifestyle. That’s right. For example, in 1876, the United States at the World Expo in Philadelphia displayed telephones and telegrams; in 1939, the United States New York Expo showed nylon and plastic. I am a literary person, so I am particularly obsessed with the Paris World Expo in 1878, when the great writer Victor Hugo hosted the “Art and Literary Heritage Conference” at the World Expo. At the Paris World Expo in 1937, Picasso’s famous painting “Guernica” was displayed. The development of literary arts is synchronized with the times. This principle has been emphasized at more than 100 World Expos. Unfortunately, as long as I was, I only participated in one World Expo. But at this World Expo, people’s wisdom, ability, brilliant lighting and beautiful natural scenery make me feel like I am in a fairyland - in harmony with nature, and will benefit humanity.
