高頻感应加热用的感应器,須加以絕緣以防止它与工件及感应器綫圈之間发生短路火花而遭到損坏。一般采取的措施是在感应器外包扎石棉,但石棉要降低感应器的效能;如用水泥隔絕,則又笨重而不牢固。我厂去年在搪瓷厂的协助下,試用搪瓷絕緣,采用一种能耐二万伏高压而又能与紫銅感应器牢固結合的特种搪瓷珐琅,获得成功并投入生产,至今使用滿意。采用搪瓷感应器,在設計时可考虑把間隙减小,以提高感应效能。同时,它給操作上带来很多方便,如淬內孔时可不必顾虑操作短路燒損;而且所費很小。搪瓷用珐琅粉的配方如下(重量此):长石25.53、石英12.75、硼砂27.49、氟硅酸鈉(Na_2SiF_6)6.89、硝酸鈉10.12、二氧化鈇13.50、氧化銅1.96、重鉻酸鉀0.08、磷酸三鈉1.68;膨脹系数355.54×10~(-7)。
