In the recent five years, a total of 444 natural disasters have occurred in the world - earthquakes, hurricanes, and volcanic eruptions. The information was released by the Office of the United Nations Disaster Coordinator in Quito on the seminar on the anomalous nature of the continent in Latin America. In the meantime, the countries of the world suffered 208 devastating hurricanes, including 79 violent attacks on the Americas, 78 in Asia, 26 in Europe, 13 in Africa and 12 in Oceania. There have been 82 floods in Asia and 54 in the Americas.
