1938年12月30日是吴玉章60岁生日,正值吴老在重庆忙于出席国民参政会,次年11月,吴老返回延安。党中央和毛泽东提议为吴老补祝60大寿。1940年1月15日,中共中央在延安中央大礼堂隆重举行“吴玉章同志60寿辰庆祝会”。毛泽东在祝寿会上有感而发,即兴发表讲话:“今天大家欢聚一堂,为吴老祝寿。想起我在3年前为徐老祝寿
On December 30, 1938, Wu Yuzhang’s 60th birthday coincides with Wu’s being busy attending the National Political Council in Chongqing. In November of the following year, Wu Lao returned to Yan’an. The CPC Central Committee and Mao Zedong proposed to make 60th birthday for Wu Lao. January 15, 1940, the CPC Central Committee held a grand ceremony in Yan’an Central Auditorium ”Wu Yuzhang 60 birthday celebration“.
