本文从介绍河北建筑工程学院图书馆楼，联系具体工程设计，进行具体分析和讨论，论述了馆址选择及其对使用功能的影响，建筑布局及其对使用功能的影响；并通过对新馆楼１０年来使用过程中所发现的问题，指出图书馆工作人员在建筑设计与施工过程中能参与其事，随时提出一些修改意见或要求，便可使馆舍建成之后更符合实际需要；为建造出更加适用、经济、美观的图书馆楼，打开我们的眼界和思路，提供了经验。
