中國書畫最透徹的品評見于原作之上收藏者與鑒賞家之題記,而這些題記一般遵循兩個準則:一是品題者采用與原作相同的材料與技法以及同樣的用筆規範,形成統一的美感與藝術傳承;二是品題者把卷子各部分視為一體,如魚在水,共相共生。銘刻的品題同樣采用上述準則。本文以山東泰山經石峪題刻為例,通過對明人萬恭、李邦珍在泰山經石峪的銘刻題記進行分析,揭示出岩壁上的銘刻题記亦是另外一種形式的藝術品評。
