《不如归》是林纾众多翻译名作中的一部,小说原作者为日本明治时期的代表作家德富芦花。学界一般认为,林纾是从英译本Nami-ko转译成中文。本论文主要围绕转译的底本考证,梳理林纾译本与日文原作及英译本之间的联系。从文本的比照可以发现,林纾的译本参照了日文原作,并依据自己的判断作了灵活的处理。其中有弥补英译本疏漏之处;也存在判断欠妥,如果严格依据原作则可以避免的误译。
“Not as good as return” is one of many translation masterpieces in Lin Shu. The original author of the novel was Deaf Aloha flower, the representative writer of Meiji Period in Japan. The academic community generally believes that Lin Shu translated from English version Nami-ko into Chinese. This thesis mainly focuses on the textual research of translation, combing the link between Lin Shu’s translation and the original works of Japanese and English translations. As can be seen from the comparison of the texts, Lin Shu’s translations refer to the original Japanese works and make flexible treatment according to his own judgment. Some of them make up for omissions in the English translation; there are also defects in the judgment, if strictly according to the original can avoid mistranslation.
