“道德革命”是近代中国人在救亡图存的伟大实践斗争中提出的战斗口号和目标,陈独秀在“五·四”以前一直把它视为思想启蒙运动的一个重心。因此,伦理思想在他此时全部思想中占据至关重要的地位。研究和整理陈独秀的伦理观,有利于我们正确评价和理解他在近代社会、尤其是新文化运动中所做出的历史功绩,同时对于深刻认识近代道德革命的历史作用及其深远影响,也有一定积极意义。
