Just after New Year’s Day in 2005, it received a series of “Contemporary Shanghai Journalists” sent by the Shanghai Association for the Promotion of International Cooperation. This is a very meaningful New Year’s gift. The series includes news articles by 22 journalists and editors in the Shanghai press. Some of the authors are old-time journalists whom I respect, some are my friends who have been very familiar with for many years, and young and middle-aged editors and reporters who have come to the fore in recent years.
