社会课是九年制义务教育阶段对小学生进行社会常识教育的一门重要课程。小学社会课的开设,建国以来还是第一次。新开设小学社会课,对于贯彻德、智、体、美全面发展的教育方针,培养有理想、有道德、有文化、有纪律的社会主义公民,提高全民族的素质,有着重要意义。 一、教育目的 九年义务教育《小学社会教学大纲》规定:社会课的教学目的是使学生认识一些常见的社会事物和现象,初步了解一些家乡的、祖国的、世界的社会常识;从小培养他们正确观察周围社会、适应社会生活的能力;进行爱国主义教育和法制观念的启蒙教育,增强他们对社会的责任感。
