“The illusion of a cliff” is the prototype of the first suicide of Dizai. It reflects the unfortunate and unforgiving destiny of the protagonist “I”. As memories of the protagonist “I”, the incident was written from the very beginning with a strong sense of destiny. “I ” in order to resist can not become the fate of the writer, lied to be a new writer. But this resistance is useless, “My destiny has now become a foregone conclusion ”. Due to the writer’s role-playing, “I” gradually immerses himself in the illusion of being a writer, which is itself a mockery of fate for “I”. The appearance of light snow as the key factor to promote the development of the illusion of “I” seems to be the product of “I” rebel against the fate. It is a conscious choice of “I ”, but in fact the alternative is practiced “I ” fate. Snow called out the name of the new writer to make “I ” wake up from the writer’s illusion, but also make “I ” recognize their failure to resist the fate. Out of extreme self-esteem and vanity, “I” killed the snow. However, the fate gave the final blow to “I”. Although “I ” had a murderous experience, he was still unable to write works and his resistance to fate was instead a complete fulfillment of fate.
