Every new development and every new measure of the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, which is responsible for the safe, effective and convenient people’s drug use, is closely related to the people. At the beginning of the new year in 1997, Zheng Jun, the director of the State Administration of Pharmacy, interviewed the Journal on issues of concern to the masses. (1) When talking about the overall situation of the medical economy that people are concerned about, Zheng Zheng introduced: In 1996, the state of the national medical economy was basically normal, and economic indicators had risen or declined compared with the previous year. According to preliminary statistics, the total output value of the national pharmaceutical industry (in constant prices in 1990) reached 120 billion yuan, an increase of about 15% over the previous year, and the current value of output value was 109 billion yuan, an increase of about 13%; the industrial sales value was 101 billion yuan. Annual growth of 13%, industrial production and sales rate
