黑龙江林业职业技术学院原是一所国家级重点职业技术教育学校,始建于1958年,后经省政府批准设置独立的高等职业技术院校,在四十几年的办学历程中,学院为社会培养了众多人才,积累了丰富的办学经验。近几年学院由国家级重点校升格为高等职业技术学院,不仅在办学层次上前进了一大步,上了一个新台阶,在2002年7月29日北京召开的全国职教会议上被授予全国职业教育先进集体。然而同时在招生、就业等关乎学院生存、发展及建设的重大问题上也遇到前所未有的困难和挑战。面临新的困难和挑战,学院全体教职工,发扬学院人特有的不畏艰险、勇攀高峰的精神,深化教育改革,集思广益,谋求发展,在办学宗旨、教育特色、教学方法、实践教学等方面积极探索,走出一条办高等职业技术学院的特色之路。
