So what should we really expect of the schools that help usto bring up our children? Every child should leave school witha solid level of achievement in the core subjects and in the waythe world works. They should be articulate in their native lan-guage, and competent in social manners. And I would like toimagine that all this could be achieved in an environment ofinnocence appropriate to a child.
