北流县附城公社,近年来从本地的自然条件出发,大力推广水稻良种,搞好品种搭配,充分发挥良种的丰产性能,从1977年以来连续五年获得增产。1981年全社水稻总产达5351万斤,平均亩产1356斤,比1976年每亩增加374斤,总产增长32%。1981年在自然灾害频繁的情况下,早、晚两造仍然获得增产,总产比历史最高的80年增产242万斤,增长4.7%。他们的主要经验是:
