This article describes a direct measurement of the radioactivity of α, β emitter solutions by liquid scintillation counting. The instrument consists of three photomultiplier-matched detectors and three output counting channels; the triplet-to-dual-coincidence ratio (TDCR) is the quenching parameter and the nuclide is obtained directly by extrapolating the efficiency curve to TDCR = 1 Activity The instrument has at least two outstanding advantages for absolute measurement of radioactive activity: 1. High precision, the total measurement of various β, α nuclides such as ~ 3H, ~ (63) Ni and ~ (14) C Uncertainty (3σ) at 0.5-1.5%; 2. Easy to operate, rapid measurement.
