2014年,中国发生了三件和稻米有关的事受到广泛关注。其一是,湖南省溆浦县超级稻攻关基地种植的杂交水稻亩产突破1 000公斤,百亩片平均亩产达1 026.7公斤,创造了水稻亩产世界新纪录。其二是,江苏省无锡市种植的有“世界米王”之称的产量低、品质好、价钱高的有机稻越光米供不应求。其三是,绿色和平组织和华中农业大学就转基因水稻安全性问题打起了笔墨官司。
In 2014, three rice-related incidents in China received widespread attention. First, the output of hybrid rice per hectare planted at the Xupu County Super Rice Research Base in Hunan Province exceeded 1 000 kg per mu and the average yield per mu reached 1,026.7 kg, creating a new world record for paddy rice production. The other is that there is a shortage of high-yield, good-quality and high-price organic rice grown in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, where there is “World Rice King ”. The third is that Greenpeace and Huazhong Agricultural University have littered the lawsuit over the safety of genetically modified rice.
