近年,我们在陕西西乡对寒武纪地层层序及化石作了较详绌的研究,发现按岩石地层单位分组的界限,往往与根据化石带分阶的界限并不完全相合。这就涉及地层分类中组与阶的关系,即岩石地层单位与时间地层单位的关系问题。这个问题在国内和国际上都有争论,我们想借西乡寒武纪地层剖面的实际资料,试行讨论两种地层单位的关系及使用准则。
In recent years, we conducted a more drastic study of the Cambrian stratigraphic sequence and fossils in Xixiang, Shaanxi Province, and found that the boundaries grouped according to lithostratigraphic units are often not completely in line with the classification according to the fossil zones. This involves the relationship between groups and strata in stratigraphic classification, that is, the relationship between lithostratigraphic units and temporal stratigraphic units. This issue is controversial both at home and abroad. We would like to take the practical data of the Cambrian stratigraphic section of Xixiang to tentatively discuss the relationship and the usage criteria between the two strata units.
