A review of the history of ancient Chinese thought, there are two great times: First, the Spring and Autumn Period, one during the Song Dynasty. The two extremely creative Northern Song dynasties Cheng Hsien and Cheng Yi Brothers (“Cheng”) are the outstanding representatives of the later period and were hailed as the earliest creators of the science of Confucianism.
