核桃新品种“薄壳香”“薄壳香”是本市第一个核桃新品种。系北京市农林科学院林果所与有关单位协作选育的优良品系。1984年11月经市级鉴定,定名为“薄壳香”新品种。该品种属早实性类型,曾在全市召开的4次“核桃坚果品质鉴定会”上都名列前矛。按“全国核桃坚果品质标准化”衡量属“特级”。该品种适宜在华北地区栽培。其他地区需经引种试验。品种主要性状和特点如下:
