The 6th International Conference on Modal Analysis (IMACVI) was held February 1-4, 1988 in Orlando, Florida, USA. Nearly 600 representatives from 21 countries attended the conference, including our universities, research institutes, factories and over a dozen representatives who attended the seminar abroad. This session has a total of 274 papers, divided into 22 topics published in 50 sub-groups. At the opening ceremony of the conference, Prof. L. Mitchell, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, made a special report titled “Modal Analysis Prospect”.
