Soyinkar’s Autobiography Akay: Childhood Years traces the dual culture education background of Young Soyinker and his personal consciousness under the influence of many artistic means. He also noticed the close relationship between personality history and social environment , Reflecting the theme of the times. Soyinka believes in his own memory and does not have the slightest self-doubt about the constructed self-image of the narrative, showing the traditional sense of autobiography.
