最近在日内瓦第85届生物技术会议上发表了一种检查军团病的新方法。这种比现有的方法更快的试验是由苏格兰公司国际Inveresk研究中心(IRI)发明的。此试验不仅能诊断出军团病,而且还能找出引起疾病暴发的细菌来源。快速检出此病特别重要。一个月以前,在斯塔福德地区总医院暴发的疾病中,用二周多时间才确定流行的疾病是军团病。到5月7日,在第一人死亡后3周,有30人死亡并有100多人得了此病。
Recently presented a new method of checking Legionnaires’ Disease at the 85th Biotechnology Conference in Geneva. This faster test than the existing method was invented by the Scottish company International Inveresk Research Center (IRI). This test not only diagnoses Legionnaires’ disease but also identifies the source of the bacteria that caused the outbreak. Rapid detection of the disease is particularly important. A month ago, outbreaks of disease at the Stafford Regional General Hospital took more than two weeks to identify a prevalent legion disease. By May 7, 30 people were killed and more than 100 people were sick three weeks after the first person was killed.
