如果把第一台PC和您目前正在使用的台式机放在一起,您可能会说:它们没有多少变化呀!但是,开机之后您就会发现它们之间存在着很大不同。没错!20年并不漫长,以至于PC在外形上还保持着自己的渊源,但技术和功能上PC已今非昔比。 1998年,IBM曾经提出了著名的“普及运算”的概念,2000年又提出EoN(网络边际)的概念。作为第一台PC的创造者,IBM也非常看好PC的未来。未来的PC是什么样?改变PC行业的技术变革是什么?IBM认为存储技术、芯片技术、显示器技术和设备制造技术是影响未来PC的关键技术。
If you put the first PC together with the desktop that you are currently using, you might say: They do not change much! However, after powering on, you may find that there is a big difference between them. That’s not a long time, 20 years, so that the PC still maintains its own origins, but the technology and functionality of the PC is no longer comparable. In 1998, IBM once proposed the famous concept of “universal computing”. In 2000, it put forward the concept of EoN (Network Margin).
