General introduction The European Ford company’s engine technology work is carried out in Cologne, West Germany and Dundee Engineering Center. Dunden’s test rig (Figure 1) includes 21 gasoline engines and 16 diesel development laboratories, 10 durability labs primarily for diesel engines and 16 unloaded laboratories.
