遵照江泽民总书记在全国卫生工作会议上“普及九亿农民健康教育行动”的指示和中共中央、国务院关于卫生改革与发展中“积极推进九亿农民健康教育行动”的决定,为配合“全国九亿农民健康教育行动”的全面实施,本刊将连续报道有关农民健康教育的内容。 爱国卫生工作的重点在农村,这是从中国国情出发的重要决策。为此,健康教育要面向农村,面向九亿农民,改变农村卫生知识贫乏的状况。开展“全国九亿农民健康教育行动”,是针对农村当前存在的主要卫生问题,结合初级卫生保健各项任务,增强广大农民的自我保健意识和能力,达到防病、保健、提高健康水平的重要活动,对于保护劳动力、发展生产力,“保健康、奔小康”具有现实和深远的意义。为此,我们殷切期望广大农民朋友积极参与这次行动,在生产、生活、工作、学习中认真运用医学科学知识,以健康的体魄和崭新的精神风貌迎接新世纪的到来。
