Well-known Internet company Cisco Systems Inc. introduced two new products designed to simplify ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) network expansion and management. The first is Cisco AtmDirector, a graphical system-level ATM management application that greatly simplifies the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of a network of ATM switches, ATM-connected routers, and LAN switches. In addition, Cisco also introduced P-NNI software for ATM network routing, making it the first vendor to meet the first round of P-NNI ATM Forum specifications.
