柚的结果习性与红桔、甜橙、柠檬不同,以一年生以上的春梢无叶枝为主要结果母枝,结果母枝大部分在树冠内部。这类枝条多着生在3—4年生的侧枝或二次梢的枝条上。结果枝分有叶片和无叶片两种类型,以无叶片的结果枝最多,约占结果枝的92％左右。根据柚的结果匀性,修剪时应注意掌握“顶上重,四方轻,外围重,内膛轻”的修剪原则。疏剪外围密集枝条,开一些“小窗口”,以利通风透光。顶部枝
